Why?
I have to say that I heavily disagree with the idea of having the football game tomorrow. All NFL games have been cancelled on Sunday and Monday. Baseball games have been cancelled through Sunday. Major League Soccer called off the rest of their season. No NASCAR race on Sunday. No PGA Tour this weekend. All but three NCAA College Football games have been cancelled (Iowa - Iowa State was cancelled too!), yet I just heard on KGAN that the Cedar Rapids schools will have the football games played this weekend as usual.

In other words, across the nation, all major sporting events have been cancelled, yet CR insists on playing these football games. I disagree with this. Why does the Cedar Rapids School District insist upon being the people that hold school and events no matter what? Almost no schools hold class on Martin Luther King Day, yet year after year, we attend classes on an adjusted schedule because Channel One is not broadcast that day (because almost no schools go on MLK day!). I'm sick of Lew Finch's garbage lies played on casette over the PA year after year where he says CR has classes so we can honor and learn about Dr. King. Major BS. When is the last time your teachers taught you about MLK on MLK day? Not since Johnson Elementary, that's for sure.

Year after year, there will be a few days where the three major metropolitan schools delay or cancels classes due to snow, yet we go as usual. I am sick and tired of this shit. Now here we have a precedent where practically no sporting events will be held this weekend, yet CR insists on doing so. I'm sick of this shit.
